MOSCOW, August 19 (RIA Novosti) - Over a third of this year's graduates from the International School of Multimedia Journalism (ISMJ) have joined RIA Novosti news agency this year.
Among the RIA Novosti alumni are Antonina Trefilova, who became a copy editor in the agency's corporate portal, and Ekaterina Malkina who gained the same position in the internet department.
Both girls received RIAN scholarships as a result of their study and practical internship work, for which they were judged the best students of their class.
A number of ISMJs graduates will continue on with further study with additional economics courses at the Moscow State University of Higher Economics.
The International School of Multimedia Journalism, in collaboration with the Moscow State University of Higher Economics as well as RIA Novosti and Interfax Russian information agencies, have made it possible for young men and women to receive the highest multimedia qualification.
ISMJ is now actively recruiting for the new 2010/2011 school year, from October to July, which will include a three week internship in one of the two participating news agencies.
