Russian Industry and Trade Minister Viktor Khristenko was one of the first visitors at the Russian pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai. He believes the “throughout” capacity of this new “Russia House” at the international exhibition will be put to the test.
“I believe there will be more visitors than we expected and this may become a problem. Perhaps too much attention is drawn to the pavilion,” Viktor Khristenko, chairman of the Organizing committee for Russia’s participation in Expo 2010, said.
Over 200 countries and international organizations are taking part in the exhibition and only 49 of them, including Russia, have built their own pavilions. Russia’s national pavilion presents the world as seen through a child’s eyes.
“The best city is one that’s good for children and those who are children now will determine the future they will live in,” the minister said.
Expo 2010 in Shanghai will be open through October 31. Over 70 million people are expected to visit the exhibition.
