Informal meeting of OSCE foreign ministers in Almaty
An informal meeting of OSCE foreign ministers is running from July 16 – 17 in the Kazakh city of Almaty. Global security, the situation in Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan, and Russia’s proposed treaty on European security, are key topics for discussion. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is taking part in the summit, along with foreign ministers and high-ranking officials from the 56 member states, 12 partner states and a number of international organizations.
